For many years I owned a Bed and Breakfast in Old North (The Pink Chestnut BB): a large older home that needed constant attention.
Then came the time that the old antique faucet on the wall of the shower would not work and all the plumbing contractors I called advised me that the shower tiled wall would have to come down and replace the faucet with a modern one, I wouldn't’ modernize. Besides the time it would take to do this work, I would have had to close down and the cost, this would take away from the older decor of the home.
A friend recommended that I call Hughes Contracting. Hugh showed up and mentioned the same remodel others had, but as he said it would take away from the interior furnishings. Hugh took the faucet apart and took the parts back to his shop returning later that evening to put my faucet back together and it has worked ever since.
The older home needed regular attention, and I called Hugh each time. Then the old galvanized pipes gave away. Hugh came in with a helper and removed all my old galvanized pipes replacing them copper. They did the job quickly and left the job neat and clean.
I would recommend if you need work done around your home, to call Hugh.
