~ Legal Information Every Homeowner Should Know ~
Under the Ontario Consumer Protection Act - you can cancel a contract for more than $50 if it was signed in you home. Send a registered letter or hand deliver it to the company within ten days of the signing date.
Under the Ontario Business Practices Act - you have the right to request rescission (cancellation of the contract) within six months of the contract signing date if you believe the seller has made a false or misleading representation.
