Tips to winterize your home
you can do it yourself ... or we can do it for you

Winterizing you home reminds me of squirrels getting ready for the winter.
They spend all fall running around and gathering nuts and burying them in random places ...... at least that is the way I see it, they may have a list or map in their nest where they can refer to later .... eeh !
On a serious note, we should make a list of the things to do and prioritize them doing the first things outside while the weather is good and then to work on items inside at a later date. On a limited budget, you may want to give priority as a cost effective solution ....... in other words, get the best bang for your buck - term used in purchasing fire-crackers .... eeh !
Reasons for winterizing, as we normally think of this to do with getting our cottage or boat ready for winter, it also applies to our principle residence.
1 - Energy prices are on the rise, as a result heating and electrical cost will consume an increasingly larger portion of one' household budget. That is why it is important to check your home to insure that your engery-dollars are not being wasted.
2 - Costs for un-necessary repairs; there maybe items over-looked that may cause damage during the winter to your home' structure and/or to the systems within your home.
As I mentioned before, we are going to make a list of the items to work on outside first and then a list of the items you can do inside. For an easier way of printing these lists, I am going to put them on separate pages.
